 Rainbow reef is located on the island of Oahu. It is offshore of the Ala
Moana Beach Park, next to the Waikiki hotels. This is on the south shore
of the island. The boat charters usually depart from the Honolulu Harbor.
The Honolulu Harbor is about a 5 minute drive from Waikiki. The boat ride
takes about 10 minutes to this dive site. The depth of this dive is about
40ft.The dive plan is 40ft for 45 minutes. Rainbow Reef is a line of 6
reefs that looks like fingers stretching out. We tour each of these reefs
and find all sorts of different marine life, some of which are very rare
 in the aquarium trade such as the rare Harlequin Shrimps. There are also
a lot of sea turtles that live on these reefs. We see those sleeping most
of the day. Also there are abundance of butterflies, Hawks, Wrasses, Scorpion
fishes and many others you can see there. This is a really good dive to
do. The temperature ranges for 70-75f. (21\24C.).The visibility averages
about 80ft |
