Port lock is located on the island of Oahu. It is located on the east shore
of the island, just before the famous Hanama Bay. Port lock is a little
hidden beach. This site is only known by the local people. To enter the
point, you must walk down a little cliff. After you have reached the bottom,
you need to walk along the lava rocks (These rocks are smooth) until you
reach the entry point. When you reach the entry point, you need to do a
giant stride entry to go in the water. Once in the water, the depth there
is about 15 ft.The beach was formed from lava flows long ago. This site is similar to the Blow Hole dive. The reefs here, looks like
large valleys. There are lots of fishes to see here; also sea turtles can
be found feeding off the coral. Eagle Rays can also be seen here. The deepest
depth is about 50ft.The dive plan is set for 30 minutes at a depth of 50
ft. The temperature ranges for 70-75f. (21\24C.).The visibility averages
about 80ft |
