 The depth is about 15ft and drops to about 40ft.If you like a lot of different
types of reef fishes? Then this is the place. Since this side of the island
is less populated by people the reef and the marine life is so full of
color. There are a lot of rare fishes that roam around swimming freely
among the reefs. One of which we call the Hawaiian Flame Angel. At one
time there were a lot of these fishes all over the island. Now since they
got popular with the aquarium trade. They are found only in certain areas.
Sea turtles swim around the reef feeding on the plants that grow  on the coral. There are a large amount of moray eels that live in the reefs.
Some can be worth a lot of money in the aquarium trade, such as the famous
dragon eel. This eel can run as much as $350.00 a piece. Octopus also live
there building there homes in the reef. You can tell an octopus house by
the clean rocks that are placed around the hole in the reef giving away
there hiding place. This dive plan is set for 45 minutes of bottom time
at a max depth of 40ft. The temperature ranges for 70-75f. (21-24C.).The
visibility averages about 80ft-100ft. |
