Turtle Canyons

Boat diving
Hawaii Oahu Island
offshore Waikiki
Depth:40 feet
Our second dive site is called Turtle Canyons. This dive site is located offshore from Waikiki. Turtle Canyons was formed along time ago by the volcanoes that once erupted here. The reef branches out like fingers. The name was given because this dive site has a lot of sea turtles that live there. On the average day you'll see at least 6 to 8 turtles swimming around. This dive site also has a lot of spotted puffer fishes. They swim right beside you following your every move. Here you'll also see a lot of octopus. They live in the many holes that are in the reef. These creatures are said to be the smartest creatures in the ocean. There are a lot of different species of fish here too. Some are very colorful and some have very interesting shapes. You'll see different types of shells here, some of which are very expensive. Moray eels are also in abundance here. They live in the coral reefs. This dive plan is set for 45 minutes of bottom time at 45ft.The boat ride is approximately 10 minutes from the Caroline Shipwreck.
